Virtual Camp Red Kite is an arts camp tailored specifically to the unique interests and needs of young people on the autism spectrum. Each day, campers can engage in classes in Drama, Art, Music, and Movement. The program is led by a team of specialized artists and educators dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment for children affected by autism. We aim to foster a shared arts experience that encourages self-expression, social engagement, creative exploration, and above all, FUN!
Camp days will be a mix of interactive online teacher instruction and live stream group activities, "at-your-pace" classes for an individualized experience, and offline activities to play at home and get everyone out from in front of the screen.
All you need is a smart device with the Zoom Application downloaded, your imagination, and an adult to help out when needed.
We understand that students may also have scheduled e-learning classes through their school. To supplement your student's e-learning, we will share recordings of each day's camp classes to registered students, so they can watch and engage at their own pace.
Families will receive instructions on how to login for classes following sign up. Please contact Sara Perry at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you may have.
