We are a child-centered alternative school that starts at 3 years old and goes through 8th grade. Our philosophy is grounded in Montessori with a particular emphasis on sustainability, nature connection, engineering, and creativity. Davidson, located in the Lake Norman area of Charlotte, is home to Davidson College, a year-round farmer’s market, and a charming downtown.

Part-time Visual and Performing Arts Teacher

We are looking for an amazing Visual and Performing Arts Teacher to work at Davidson Green School!

This position is for a Part-time Visual and Performing Arts Teacher. Hours would be Wednesdays, 9:00 am to 3:15 pm. The Art Teacher will be responsible for developing in each student an interest in, and the ability for, creative expression in visual and dramatic terms, using skills and techniques of artistic expression. The Art Teacher will also guide the students to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations and to discover and develop talents of students in the field of visual and performing arts. In addition, the Art Teacher will coordinate a school-wide play (in December) and art auction (in April) with the support of other faculty.
