In 2022 Mayor Lori E. Lightfoot and the City of Chicago continues with the multi-year, multi-billion dollar investment in infrastructure improvements across the City. The need for skilled tradespeople on the projects connected to these improvements will be greater than ever.

The Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership (The Partnership) runs the largest public workforce development network in the nation and is the umbrella organization operating the public workforce system in the City of Chicago and Cook County. The Partnership is working directly with contractors to fill positions created by City investments. The Partnership and organizations aligned with its goal of creating opportunities for skilled tradespeople who have been historically underrepresented in the industry are preparing candidates to secure employment on these vital projects.
