Hello student applicant! Are you ready to turn your talents and passions into a real business? Before you get started, carefully read the six simple application instructions/steps below:
Step 1: Talk to your parent or guardian. You’ll need permission to participate. Specific student and parent/guardian contact information is required to complete the application.
Step 2: Prepare written answers to two of the following three questions:
1: Why are you interested in learning about entrepreneurship?
2: If you are currently in the process of launching your own business or social movement or if you have an idea for a business or social movement, please describe.
3: What entrepreneurial story, either from the past or present, inspires you? Please describe.
Step 3: Prepare a brief essay (approximately 300 words) on the following topic:
Describe a situation when you demonstrated at least two of the following characteristics of successful entrepreneurs: persistence, inquisitiveness, self-confidence, tolerance for failure, creativity, innovation, initiative, competitiveness, commitment, strong management and organizational skills.
Step 4: Prepare a brief essay (approximately 300 words) on the following topic:
What role do you typically play when working on a team? Describe the importance of this function in the completion of a goal/project.
Step 5: Upload your most recent academic transcript or report card.
Step 6: Upload a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor, sports coach, club advisor, religious leader, personal mentor, etc.

Please make sure you have filled out all sections that have an asterisk(*) next to them.
To be considered for the YEA! Class of 2024, all application materials will be due by June 12th. If qualified, you will be contacted for an in-person interview.
*Please note: If you are asked to be interviewed, interviews will be taking place in July of 2023. If you are unavailable during that month, please email Program Coordinator, Faith Shoup at fshoup@loudounchamber.org after you have submitted your application.
