Welcome to the Winter Session I 2021!
Students will spend five weeks exploring many aspects of veterinary medicine in a hands-on, interactive way. All lessons will be taught at an age-appropriate level. Students should prepare for many special visitors AND unique activities! Register here for classes are perfect for all students, Pre-K through 6th, who love animals, science and learning.

Week 1: Grooming 101
Students will be hands-on learning to groom animals from head-to-toe! Brushing, bathing, dental care & nail clipping are all important aspects of pet care. Students will have the opportunity to work on these grooming techniques with a variety of species.
Week 2: They Ate What? Radiology: Class II
Students love seeing all of the weird things that pets eat! In this second radiology class, we will examine more real x-rays and fascinating case studies and work together to answer the question….They ate what?!?
Week 3: Canine Breed Bonanza
Man’s best friend comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Different breeds offer a variety of traits that make every canine breed very unique. Look into the world of dog breeds, both big and small, to see the amazing things each one can offer!
Week 4: Prehistoric vs. Modern Animals
Are there still prehistoric animals alive today? Yes! Many animals that are alive today are descendants of prehistoric animals that roamed the earth millions of years ago! Students will learn about the prehistoric ancestors and their descendants and even make their own fossils!
Week 5: Sloths
We see images of sloths everywhere - they have become one of the world’s most popular animals, but what do we know about these fascinating, slow-moving creatures? Join us as we explore the world of sloths! Students will make their own adorable sloth to hang up at home!
