Students must be picked up unless previously registered for late care with the school.

NOTE: Although Red Bank Elementary Administration will be present in the building, this program is overseen by Vets in Training Staff.
Teddy Bear Clinic: Who doesn’t like playing doctor? Each student can bring their own teddy bear as we learn how to give a veterinary wellness exam and take care of common ailments. Children will learn bandaging as well as use some common, safe, veterinary tools.
Week 2: Owl Pellet Dissection: Students will learn about the digestive system of an owl and other birds of prey through their pellets. *No animals are harmed for this dissection lesson.*
Week 3: Animal Nutrition: Pets are what they eat too! Today we will learn the ABCs of pet nutrition and how good nutrition helps animals stay healthy. Students will understand just how different nutritional needs are for everybody.
Week 4: Ocean Animals: Do shark’s dream of chasing other fish? Do whales sneeze? Who is the principal of a school of fish? These and many other questions will be answered as we look at our animal friends in the deep blue ocean.
Week 5: Worms! Worms! Worms!: Through hands-on exploration and discussion students will observe the physical characteristics and habits of these fascinating little wigglers, and learn the important role they play in composting.
