All Creatures Great and Small: All hands on deck! This round floor discussion will allow the children to investigate, explore, and discover the individual animals of the learning center. There will be a few animal surprises!
Babies Babies Babies - Spring is a time for animal babies. Students will learn alla bout how animals protect and care for their young.
Facts on Ferrets - We will play an interactive game to gain an understanding of how black footed ferrets live and survive in the northern great plains. Students will have amazing adventures playing with our three furry ferret friends!
Heart Basics - How does a heart work? Is it the same for all animals? Students will learn all of this and more as we explain this vital organ and use stethoscope to hear the heartbeat of some VIT pets.
Anesthesia Cocktail - In order to help our animal friends, veterinarians often have to put it to sleep under anesthesia to do surgery or perform other procedures. Students will study this branch of medicine and understand how various medicines work together to create the perfect cocktail for putting animals to sleep.
Radiology: They ate what? Students will investigate a series of x-ray images to determine what foreign object various animals have eaten. We will discuss different methods of extraction and decided which procedure is right to help each pet.
