Wednesday Evenings from 5:00-6:00 All Ages
Our special education class provides students of all abilities the opportunity to learn about and interact with our animal friends in a warm, supportive, small-group environment. Our teachers tailor the lessons to the students' needs and abilities.
Each Session includes all new lessons and content!
Spring classes run from May 8th - June 5th
During this session of classes your child will learn all about the Vets in Training animals, how to care for pets, and some skills veterinarians and technicians use during animal exams.
Spring 2024 Session:

All Creatures - Get to know all the animals at Vets in Trianing including how to hold each one, what they eat, where they live, and all the silly things they do.

Cat Scavenger Hunt - Students embark on an adventure all around our education center as they follow clues to find fun surprises and learn about the pitfalls of life as an outdoor cat.

Planting for Pets - Discover the foods our pets eat and how to grow them. Students will help maintaing our animal garden by germinating seeds, planting seedlings, harvesting, and feeding the animals.

Worms Worms Worms!! - Learn all about the worms living in our vermicompost bin and how they help! These wiggly creatures are essential to a healthy garden for healthy food to feed our healthy animals.

Grooming - Students will be hands-on learning to groom animals from head to toe! Brushing, bathing, dental care, and nail clipping are all important aspects of pet care. Students will have the opportunity to work on these grooming skills with a variety of species.
