All Creatures Great and Small:  All hands on deck! This round floor discussion will allow the children to investigate, explore, and discover the individual animals of the learning center. There will be a few animal surprises!

CPR:  CPR can save the life of an animal. Obtaining the knowledge of how to perform CPR on an animal allows even non-veterinarians to save the life of an animal they love. Students will learn how to properly perform CPR on an animal, including using a full 10lbs. of pressure while doing it!

First Aid and Kit Making:  Learn about how first aid is given to a sick or injured animal until full medical attention is available.  Students will review common emergencies and first aid supplies.

Animal Adaptations:  The class will review what animal adaptations are and play an interactive game which highlights the various adaptations of birds.  They will gain an understanding of how and why animals adapt in different ways.

Snake Identification:  Students learn to identify venomous snakes and tell the difference between venomous and poisonous snakes.  We will discuss how to behave in the presence of snakes both in the wild and in a controlled environment.  Finally they will play a snakebite game to determine if they have learned how to remain safe in the presence of snakes.

Poisons:  We will discuss various poisons and help children gain an understanding of each.  Students will learn how to properly store dangerous chemicals. Finally we play an identification game to gain a better understanding.
