Welcome to the Fall Session I 2021!
Students will spend five weeks exploring many aspects of veterinary medicine in a hands-on, interactive way. All lessons will be taught at an age-appropriate level. Students should prepare for many special visitors AND unique activities! Our classes are perfect for all students, Pre-K through 12th grade, who love animals, science and learning.
This session will run from the week of September 13th through the week of October 11th
***Please note - There will be no classes on Sept 15th & 16th for Yom Kippur (makeups will be October 20th & 21st)***

Week 1: Interactive Case Studies Class: Students get to be the vets as they tackle a whole new set of hands-on case studies!
Week 2: Hedgehogs: We all know that hedgehogs are cute, but did you know that they are illegal in some parts of the US? Or that they’re largely immune to snake venom? Students will learn all this and more as they explore the world of hedgies hands-on with our Vets in Training resident hedgehogs, and even make their own cute hedgehogs to bring home!
Week 3: **Residents, Interns, and Homeschool** DNA: Students will learn what DNA is and how traits are inherited through a fun, hands-on activity.
Week 4: **Residents, Interns, and Homeschool**Vet Tech Skills Lab II: In this hands-on lab class, students will learn important skills like administering vaccines and subcutaneous fluids.
Week 5: That Spectacular Spine: Students will learn about the way a spine and its component parts function in a vertebrate animal by creating their very own spines!
