They Ate What? Radiology
You would not believe the weird things that pets eat! Students will examine real x-rays and case studies and work together to answer the question….They ate what?!?
Microscopes
Microscopes are invaluable tools to a veterinarian. Students will learn about what they are and how they assist veterinarians practice medicine and by using actual microscopes during this lesson.
Carbon Footprinting
What is a carbon footprint? This is the amount of carbon dioxide and other carbon compounds emitted due to the consumption of fossil fuels by a particular person, group, etc. Students will look at their carbon footprints and learn how they can do their part to help the environment.
Pet CPR
CPR can save the life of an animal. Students will learn how to properly perform CPR on an animal, including using a full 10lbs. of pressure while doing it!
Close Encounters
Children love getting up close and personal with animals. This session will teach children the dos, don'ts, and how to’s for meeting, greeting, and loving pets.
Grooming 101:
Students will be hands-on learning to groom animals from head-to-toe! Brushing, bathing, dental care & nail clipping are all important aspects of pet care. Students will have the opportunity to work on these grooming techniques with a variety of species.
