Dear Korakia family,
For decades, Korakia has been a place for your beautiful souls to retreat to for transformation, self-discovery and to connect with one another. Thus, we couldn’t allow you, our Korakia family, to stay away for much longer. Find your way back to our desert escape, beginning June 19th for a reimagined experience ensuring your health and happiness.
Like all houseguests, we know you may have a few questions, especially during this unprecedented time. We wanted you to know that our team has spent this valued time away planning our re-opening protocols. We’ve refined the traditional Korakia Pensione experience to reflect health and safety regulations and in accordance with social distancing, including pausing our breakfast and lunch service. Our new protocols additionally include touchless check-in/check-out, assigned poolside daybeds, pre-ordered records, in-room snack selection and much more.
We are pleased to share, ‘Soul (and Safety) is our style.
A few changes to our offerings
In compliance with state and local regulations, we will not be offering breakfast service or our lunch menu during this transitional time.
However, we all need our coffee first thing in the morning. Our famed morning in-room coffee tray with personal French press and “Korakia Special Blend” coffee will be in your room upon check-in. In addition, we will be including morning pastry deliveries to your guest room each morning! They will be placed outside your door at the time specified with a knock on the door. We will text you the evening before to inquire on timing and ensure it's nice and fresh!
Our healthy curated snack box in room will now be available for delivery. We’ll share the offerings with you during your pre-arrival call, and place them in your room before you arrive. Note: For your health, once snack items have been placed in your guestroom, they may not be returned.
Not to be missed are a few of our local restaurant favorites that are available for delivery or pick-up! We will have a list of current offerings in your room for you to enjoy.
Prior to your stay
In order to ensure that your guest room is curated with your personal preferences including records selection, and snack order in mind, an ambassador will reach out to you prior to your stay and plan any needs you may have.
Snack orders may also be placed once on-site by texting your order to 760-820-4674 or letting an ambassador know.
When arriving at Korakia
A touchless check-in protocol has been crafted for your arrival experience to the property.
We will be expecting you at the time you indicated during your pre-arrival call, however please text us 30 minutes prior to your arrival on property at 760-820-4674 to let us know you are en route.
When arriving on property, we will be welcoming you for “touchless” check-in in our entrance courtyard, we have moved our traditional check-in desk in order to maintain social distancing.
Payment in full has already been taken during the reservation process, all that will be required is a verbal authorization of the last 4 digits of your credit card number for incidentals.
You will be escorted (while maintaining social distancing) to your guest room which will be unlocked upon your arrival.
In your guest room
In your guest room, you will find the following:
-Your sanitized guest room key
-A welcome letter with property safety protocols
-Local restaurant listing with availability to-go and delivery options
- Coffee Tray including french press, mugs, hot water kettle, Korakia special blend coffee
-Snack Menu available for delivery
-Any Snack Items you pre-ordered
-One Large Bottle of Spring Water
-Le Labo bath products
We’re always keepin’ it clean, however for your ease of mind, we would like to share with you our fresh housekeeping protocols.
We have partnered with a renowned sanitizing expert, Ecolab on a curated 5 Step cleaning process for not only our guest rooms, but for our property as a whole. This process includes using EPA-approved disinfectants on all hard surfaces and allowing the solution to sit for the required time. This protocol additionally includes allotting for extra time during the housekeeping process and paying close attention to all touch points including light switches, fans, shade pulls, faucet handles and record players
In order to minimize contact, daily housekeeping service and turndown will not be available during your stay. Additionally, all soft goods such as throw pillows and throw blankets will be removed from guest rooms. Please let us know if you would like any additional pillows and blankets delivered.
On request, we are pleased to provide new or additional linens, pillows, towels, and amenities. Please text us at 760-820-4674 and we will promptly have them delivered in a bag outside your door. We will also provide an additional bag for you to place your existing linens in and place back outside the door for removal.
While lounging poolside
Your personal chaise lounge is waiting for you poolside. Yes, that's right, social distancing has its perks too.
Each guest room will be assigned chaise lounges and towels for each guest to enjoy for the duration of your stay. We’ve also reformatted the space to ensure the lounges are social distanced.
Additionally, our team will be monitoring and housekeeping the pool area each 30 minutes for your safety.
The desert has some incredible hiking destinations. The trails are filled with a fascinating variety of plants and landscape due the varied strong winds and occasional torrents of rain. It’s our duty to get you into our paradise. In your guestroom guide you will find a listing of some of our favorites or stop by the courtyard and our team would love share the inside scoop on the right trail for your time frame.
An afternoon cruise? Take a ride through the neighborhood on one of our stylish cruiser bikes. We’ve got a number of historical mid-century modern homes within a ride of our property that are the perfect scenery for an afternoon ride. Our bicycles are equipped with baskets so feel free to grab one to head to that market to pick up essentials. Leave the housekeeping up to us, we will of course sanitize after every use and make sure its fresh and clean for the next guest.
Consider our outdoor deck your own personal wellness space. Feel free to bring your own yoga mat for daily practice and stream one of your favorite online classes.
